In this post, we will discuss the dress code focused on special events according to Javier Barrio’s line, characterized by being of high quality and exclusivity, characteristics of haute couture.

Although most of us mortals do not know it, there are a lot of ways to dress for different occasions, this is what we call dress code (or dress code). But…

What exactly is the dress code or dress code?

It is a series of socially adopted tips that detail the way in which you should dress on certain occasions.

DRESS CODE

For example, it is not the same to dress to attend an awards ceremony than to go to a baptism, because each event has its dress code.

Although they are not written in their entirety, there are some rules that are included in the protocol and etiquette manuals. However, the most important thing to have when choosing is consistency and common sense. The type of event you are going to attend already says a lot about what to wear and not everything goes, you have to know how to dress appropriately. With that said, let’s get started.

1

Morning Events

Best option: cocktail dress
Cocktail dresses. Fabrics that enhance sensuality and tenderness just by touching them.

These types of celebrations are a classic, and the time of the BBC, weddings, baptisms and communions has officially begun. For this reason, this time we will talk about the dress code for christenings that are held in the morning.

Baptisms

When we are invited to a christening we know that the newborn will have the leading role but, anyway, we want to be ready for the occasion. There are no rules of protocol as such for this type of event, it depends rather on the traditions that surround it.

The best option is to wear a cocktail dress

Javier barrio

We consider that the best option is to wear a cocktail dress, a little above or below the knee. As for color, it is not recommended to wear white or black in your look. Therefore, opting for pastel tones and, in general, colors that denote joy, will be a safe bet.

Hats can be worn, but you have to take into account the time of the celebration. In the morning, a hat with a wide brim should be worn and, in the event that it is in the afternoon, one with a short brim or a headdress.

As additional information, any accessory that we wear on our heads must be kept until the end of the celebration, it is not removed at any time.

2

Afternoon Events

Best option: Jumpsuits
The occasion to wear a jumpsuit makes you different.

An evening event is considered to be one that oscillates between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., such as a civil wedding. If the celebration takes place at that time of night, the dress code changes completely.

Wedding

The best option for a civil wedding is a cocktail dress

Javier barrio

If you are going to a wedding, the best option is a cocktail dress. Dresses that are slightly longer are ideal.

Anyway, regardless of the type of event you attend, you can choose to choose a jumpsuit, a skirt and even a suit (which are now being a trend).

  • As for the colors, these can be dark.
  • More marked make-up is allowed.
  • As for accessories, the hat is certainly not a good option. What you can use is a small headdress (like the bag).
  • Keep in mind that if it is a cocktail, the bag could have a fine chain.

Gala and red carpet

In Javier Barrio you will find a wide variety of designs for this type of event. We will talk about the gala and red carpet events.

If you have been proposed to go to any of them, here you will find the solution with several options to avoid going unnoticed.

Gala celebrations

Gala events can be:

  • Awards
  • Gala dinner
  • Charity celebration

What they all have in common is the way they dress. The most classic and what never fails is a dress.

Gala, purchasing intelligence applied to haute couture.

They are dresses to wear only on special occasions. Due to this, it is not very appropriate to wear it on occasions such as a wedding or a family event.

The gala dress, like its similar ones, must be of a length that covers the legs and what differentiates it from the others is that it has a little train. To wear it, it is better to combine it with high-heeled shoes, which immediately causes the figure to be stylized.

As for the accessories, it follows the same line as the other dresses and, as I point out, it is not a good option to wear a watch with a gala look, but that, as always, depends on the style of each one and their needs.

Because gala events take place at night, you can play with makeup and hairstyle, achieving a more ornate look than one during the day.

Red carpet

They are the most spectacular dresses par excellence. If you are going to have to walk a red carpet, you are in luck.

Red carpet dresses differ from the rest for their elegance and for being made with high quality fabrics, such as silk.

Red carpet. Discover cuts, patterns and seams to perfection in a single print.

In case you decide to bring accessories, these should also be the best you can find.

If you don’t know what style of dress to choose, don’t worry because there are many possibilities. For example, the ones I recommend the most are dresses with necklines (strappy style, open back, etc.) and, if possible, fully covering the legs.

  • Shoes must be thin-heeled and high.
  • The small handbag, with metal or rhinestones (but always small).
  • The jewels, better that they are few and of quality.

We can see short models, skirts, pants and others on some red carpets, this because fashion is very changeable, but there will always be a long dress.

Do not forget, the red carpet dress is a model that should only be used on extraordinary occasions, where the label is very important.

With these recommendations, we hope we have clarified the dress code of each event. In Javier Barrio we have the best clothes, so don’t hesitate and get in touch.
